Privacy policy
The assistBEYOND program has been designed to comply with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) and is committed to managing personal information in an open, transparent and secure way.
Ipsen Pty Ltd (Ipsen) has engaged Nuevo Health to collect and hold your information in order to administer the assistBEYOND patient support program services. If you choose not to provide the information requested, it may not be possible for the assistBEYOND Nurse Coordinator to contact you, provide program services or finalise patient enrolment into the assistBEYOND program.
In order for the assistBEYOND program to provide participants with program services, some personal information, such as your name, age, address and telephone number, as well as relevant medical information, will need to be collected.
When collected, sensitive personal information will be used by the assistBEYOND Nurse Coordinator to contact patients and healthcare professionals, create an enrolment record in hardcopy format and electronically; and entered into the assistBEYOND program registries, databases and web based systems hosted in Australia.
Personal sensitive information provided may be disclosed by Nuevo Health to the patient’s nominated Health Care Practitioner(s) or to third party individuals or organisations contracted or involved in the administration of the assistBEYOND program located within Australia such as:
- The appointed community pharmacy, and/or the hospital pharmacy, if requested
- The patient’s nominated GP clinic
- Government authorities and bodies as required by law
Nuevo Health will also disclose de-identified sensitive personal information to Ipsen, or a third party acting on their behalf, for complaint investigation; audit purposes; regulatory and adverse event reporting or as required by law.
Ipsen has a standard operating procedure by which all adverse events experienced by patients taking an Ipsen drug when notified by an employee, contractor or any third party, must be collected, stored and processed and reported to international regulatory authorities where required. Ipsen, or a third party acting on their behalf, may contact a patient’s healthcare professional in order to collect further information related to an adverse event.Ipsen may share the de-identified sensitive personal information with its parent company the Ipsen Group, in France and the United Kingdom.
Nuevo Health (or third party individuals or organisations contracted or involved in the administration of the assistBEYOND program) will retain the sensitive personal information collected for the period of your participation in the assistBEYOND program and after your participation in the program has ended for the purposes of reporting, audit and as required by law. Retention of sensitive personal information is also regulated by medical legislation. Any sensitive personal information relating to side-effect reporting must be retained for twenty years after the finalisation of product commercialisation, discontinuation of development, out licencing or other action whereby Ipsen have no further requirement for monitoring safety of the product.
At your request, Nuevo Health (or third party individuals or organisations contracted or involved in the administration of the assistBEYOND program) will update the personal information as it changes during the course of an individual’s participation in the assistBEYOND program.

- to make a complaint about the management of your personal or health information or any breach of an APP by Nuevo Health or a third party individuals or organisations contracted or involved in the administration of the assistBEYOND program;
- if you have comments or questions about this Privacy Policy.
